Gambling is a type of addiction where no substances are used for this addiction, rather than picking it up as a bad habit. Gambling involves you wagering money on an event, or at a casino, and if you predict right you win profit. If you lose, all the money you put into the game is gone.
A serious gambling addiction can lead to you being in debt, mental health problems and possibly criminal activity, either a dodgy bet or other criminal activity. Amongst young people last year, 1 in 5 people have placed bets on events. That doesn't mean that they are all gambling addicts, it shows that a lot of people have placed bets. We do not know how many of them are addicts and that's what needs to come out to the public domain.
